What does this fault code mean?
The rear electronic module (REM) monitors the status signal when the relay for the 15I supply is controlled. If that signal is too high, which happens when the control wire is shorted to battery voltage, the code is stored and the traction control warning lamp lights.
Possible causes
- The control wire to the 15I supply relay is short-circuited to battery voltage
What you can do
- 1Read and note the fault code, clear it and test drive the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the 15I supply relay is seated correctly and not damaged
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the control wire to the relay has no contact with the battery positive when the ignition is off
- 4If no fault is found, have a workshop try a new relay
Symptoms you may notice1
- The traction control warning lamp is lit
