What does this fault code mean?
The code concerns the relay for the rear A/C. The rear electronic module (REM) checks the signal to the relay coil, and when it is too low or missing the code is set. The cause may be a missing relay, a defective relay or a contact fault in the relay base. The rear A/C may then stop working or cannot be switched off.
Possible causes
- The rear A/C relay is missing
- Defective relay
- Contact resistance in the relay base
What you can do
- 1Check that the rear A/C relay is in place and seated properly
- 2Check the contacts in the relay base for contact resistance and oxidation, and make sure they are clean and firmly connected
- 3Check that the power supply to the rear electronic module is working
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the rear A/C relay
