What does this fault code mean?
The rear electronic module (REM) has registered a missing or too low signal on the ground circuit of the unlocking relay coil for the central locking in the rear right door. The fault lies in the relay socket contacts, the relay or the control module, and the door does not lock or open.
Possible causes
- Oxidation of the contacts in the relay socket
- The relay is loose or missing
- Faulty relay, with an open circuit or short to ground in the relay coil
- Defective control module
What you can do
- 1Check the relay contacts in the socket for oxidation and make sure the relay is firmly seated
- 2If unlocking works after the socket has been checked, the fault was a contact fault in the socket
- 3If the socket is fine, replace the relay with a new one and check whether unlocking then works
- 4Check that the control module has its power supply, and have a workshop check the control module if the fault remains
Symptoms you may notice1
- The rear right door does not lock or open
