What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent, meaning it is sporadic and may not be present right now. The rear electronic module (REM) has registered an open circuit from the status flag while relay control is not activated. The fault comes from a break in the control to the relay, or from the relay not being installed, and the rear head restraint then does not fold down.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the control to the folding head restraint relay
- The folding head restraint relay is not installed
What you can do
- 1Check that the relay for the folding rear head restraint is installed and firmly seated
- 2Check the relay connection for contact resistance, oxidation and loose contact
- 3Use a multimeter to check whether the control wire to the relay has a break
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the wiring and the relay
Symptoms you may notice1
