What does this fault code mean?
The rear electronic module (REM) has registered that the signal is missing, or too low, on the ground circuit of the relay coil for the unlocking of the fuel filler flap central locking. The fault lies in the relay socket contacts, the relay or the control module, and the flap does not lock or open.
Possible causes
- Oxidised contacts in the relay socket
- The relay is loose or missing
- Faulty relay, with an open circuit or short to ground in the relay coil
- Defective control module
What you can do
- 1Check the relay contacts in the socket for contact resistance and oxidation
- 2If the function works after the socket check, the fault was a contact fault in the socket
- 3Replace the relay with a new one and check whether the flap then works
- 4Check that the control module has its power supply, and have a workshop check the control module if the fault remains
