What does this fault code mean?
The rear electronic module (REM) powers the LED stop lamps directly from an output. The fault code is set when the signal at that output is too high, because the signal cable is shorted to supply voltage or an LED stop lamp is not fitted, and the stop lamp then stays lit.
Possible causes
- Signal cable shorted to supply voltage
- An LED stop lamp is not fitted
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the signal cable to the stop lamps has no break and no contact with supply voltage
- 2Check that every LED stop lamp is fitted
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the wiring and the REM
Symptoms you may notice1
- The stop lamp stays lit all the time
