What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent, meaning it is sporadic and may not be present right now. The rear electronic module (REM) has registered a break from the status flag while control of the reversing light relay is not activated. The fault comes from a break in the relay control, and the reversing light then does not work.
Possible causes
- Break in the control to the reversing light relay
What you can do
- 1Check that the reversing light relay is correctly fitted
- 2Check the relay connection for contact resistance, oxidation and loose contacts
- 3Use a multimeter to check whether the control wire to the relay has a break that comes and goes
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment investigate the relay and the wiring
