What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent, meaning it is sporadic and may not be present right now. The rear electronic module (REM) has registered too high a signal across the relay coil for the rear wiper when it is activated. A fuse can blow if the relays are activated in the wrong order, which can happen when the ignition is switched on while the wiper arm is running.
Possible causes
- Damaged fuse for the rear wiper
- Damaged relay, with a short circuit in the relay coil
What you can do
- 1Check the rear wiper fuse and replace it if needed
- 2Replace the rear wiper relay with a new one and check whether the wiper works
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment investigate the relay and the REM
Symptoms you may notice1
- The rear window wiper motor does not work
