What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent, meaning it is sporadic and may not be present right now. The rear electronic module (REM) has registered that the signal across the rear wiper relay coil is missing or too low when the relay is activated. The cause may be a damaged fuse, oxidised contacts in the relay socket or a relay that is not in place, and the rear wiper motor then does not work.
Possible causes
- Damaged fuse in the rear wiper circuit
- Oxidation of the contacts in the relay socket
- The relay is not in place
What you can do
- 1Check the rear wiper fuse and replace it if needed
- 2Check that the relay is in place and that the contacts in its socket are not oxidised
- 3If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the relay, the socket and the REM
