What does this fault code mean?
The fault is intermittent, meaning it is sporadic and may not be present right now. The rear electronic module (REM) has registered a break from the status flag while control of the rear window defroster relay is not activated. The break is in the relay control, or the relay is not fitted, and the heated rear window then does not work.
Possible causes
- Break in the control to the rear window defroster relay
- The rear window defroster relay is not fitted
What you can do
- 1Check that the rear window defroster relay is correctly fitted
- 2Check the connector to the REM and the relay connection for contact resistance, oxidation and looseness
- 3Use a multimeter to check whether the relay control wire has a break
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment investigate the relay and the wiring
