What does this fault code mean?
The rear seat entertainment control unit, known as the RSE, monitors the picture feed from the television module (TVM). The code is set when the video signal is missing or wrong. Without a video signal from the TV module there is no picture in the rear seats.
Possible causes
- No video signal, or an incorrect one, from the television module (TVM)
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the cable between the TVM and the RSE has no open circuit and no contact with ground or voltage
- 2Check that the fuses for the rear seat entertainment are intact
- 3With the engine running, select TV as the media source and see whether the picture appears in the rear seats
- 4If the cable is intact and the fault remains, the RSE needs replacing; this is a job for a workshop
