What does this fault code mean?
The fault is erratic, so the picture in the rear seats can be fine for a while and then poor or gone. The rear seat entertainment control unit (RSE) watches the picture feed from the television module (TVM) and sets the code when it is wrong or missing.
Possible causes
- Poor video signal from the TV module (TVM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the rear seat entertainment are intact
- 2With the ignition off, check the video cable between the TV module and the rear seat entertainment for breaks and chafing
- 3Gently move the cable and connectors while the picture is shown in the rear seats, and see whether the picture changes
- 4With diagnostic equipment, read the RSE parameters while the fault is showing and check whether the video signal is among them
- 5If the fault remains, the RSE needs replacing; have a workshop do this
