What does this fault code mean?
The rear seat entertainment control unit (RSE) monitors the left audio signal from the A/V AUX panel. If the voltage on that signal becomes too high, the code is set and the rear seat entertainment does not work as it should.
Possible causes
- The signal is shorted to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the rear seat entertainment are intact
- 2With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the left audio wire from the A/V AUX panel has no contact with voltage (plus)
- 3Look for chafing and pinched spots on the audio wire between the A/V AUX panel and the rear seat entertainment
- 4With diagnostic equipment and the engine running, read the RSE parameters and check whether the left audio signal is listed
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the A/V AUX panel and its wiring
Symptoms you may notice1
- Rear seat entertainment does not work, has reduced function or works incorrectly
