What does this fault code mean?
The rear seat entertainment control unit (RSE) checks the signals on the CAN wires between itself and the screens. The code is set when the CAN wires are shorted together.
Possible causes
- Short-circuit between the CAN wires
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the rear seat entertainment are intact
- 2With the negative battery lead disconnected, use a multimeter to check that the two CAN wires are not shorted to each other
- 3Check that the connectors between the RSE and the screens are tight and free from oxidation
- 4With diagnostic equipment, see which control modules respond on the network and whether the screens are among them
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment locate where the short-circuit is
