What does this fault code mean?
The rear seat entertainment control unit (RSE) checks its internal components and sets the code when it finds an internal fault. The fault may be a damaged unit, or water that has got in, for example from the climate unit.
Possible causes
- Damaged RSE
- Water damage to the RSE, for example from the climate unit
What you can do
- 1Disconnect the negative battery lead and feel by hand whether the RSE is damp
- 2If the unit is damp, let it dry completely before reconnecting the battery; how long this takes depends on the climate
- 3When the unit is dry, reconnect the battery and test whether the rear seat entertainment starts with the button under the screen or the keypad on the climate control module (CCM)
- 4If the fault remains, the RSE needs replacing; this is a job for a workshop
