What does this fault code mean?
The rear seat entertainment control unit (RSE) calculates the battery status and compares it with the actual battery status. The code is set when the two differ, and the fault may lie in the wiring that supplies RSE with voltage.
Possible causes
- Fault in the power supply wiring to the RSE
What you can do
- 1If you have not noticed anything in the rear seat entertainment working worse, the code can be ignored and cleared
- 2If something is working worse: check that the battery terminals are tight and that the wire supplying RSE with voltage is intact, without chafing or oxidation
- 3With a multimeter, check that the power supply wire to the RSE has no open circuit
- 4If the wire is intact and the fault remains, the RSE needs replacing; this is a job for a workshop
Symptoms you may notice1
- Rear seat entertainment does not work, has reduced function or works incorrectly
