What does this fault code mean?
One button on the SWSL left-hand switch has been held down for too long, which sets the code. The cruise control does not work, because a button has stuck in the activated position or the switch is faulty.
Possible causes
- A button on the left-hand switch is jammed in the activated position
- Faulty left-hand steering wheel switch (SWSL)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Press the buttons on the left steering wheel switch one at a time and check whether any of them stays in or fails to return
- 3Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 4With diagnostic equipment, read the button status in live data while pressing and releasing the buttons, and check that no button stays pressed
- 5If a button sticks or the switch is faulty, have a workshop replace it; the fault concerns a safety function, so act on it promptly
