What does this fault code mean?
The sequence counter in the message from the left-hand steering wheel switch to the steering wheel module is wrong or not updated, so the cruise control does not work. The cause is disturbed communication or a switch that does not respond.
Possible causes
- Communication problem
- Left-hand steering wheel switch (SWSL) does not respond
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the cruise control and the steering wheel switches are intact
- 2Try the cruise control buttons on the left side of the wheel to see whether any function responds
- 3Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop check the communication and the left-hand switch
- 5The fault affects communication with the steering wheel angle sensor, which is part of the safety systems, so have a workshop act promptly
Symptoms you may notice1
- Cruise control does not work at all
