What does this fault code mean?
One or more buttons on the left-hand control stalk have been held down for too long, or the headlamp flash has been on for too long, and the fault is set. The cause is a button that has stuck in the activated position.
Possible causes
- A button on the left-hand stalk stuck in the activated position
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Try the turn signal, high beam and other controls on the left stalk one at a time to see which function does not work
- 3Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 4With diagnostic equipment, follow the button status in live data while pressing and releasing the buttons, and see whether any stays pressed
- 5The steering wheel angle sensor is part of the car's safety systems, so have a workshop repair the fault promptly if it remains
