What does this fault code mean?
A fault is found when the intermittent setting of the windscreen wiper stalk is tested, and the code is set. The cause is a damaged intermittent wiper switch or an internal fault in the control module.
Possible causes
- Damaged switch for intermittent windscreen wiping
- Internal fault in the sensor control module
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Try each windscreen wiper setting, especially intermittent, to see which one does not work
- 3Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 4With diagnostic equipment, follow the status of the intermittent wiper switch in live data while using it
- 5The steering wheel angle sensor is part of the car's safety systems, so have a workshop repair the fault promptly if it remains
