What does this fault code mean?
The sensor control module has registered an internal fault in its software, linked to its data memory. The stability function is blocked while the fault is present.
Possible causes
- Fault inside the sensor control module
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Turn the wheel fully right, then fully left, set it straight ahead and read the code again
- 3With diagnostic equipment, a high number of incorrect driving cycles in the status counters means the fault recurs often
- 4If the code returns, have a workshop replace the steering wheel module (SWM)
- 5Stability control stays blocked while the fault is present, so have a workshop repair it promptly
