What does this fault code mean?
There is a break in the supply or ground circuit to the steering wheel angle sensor, so the sensor does not work. The stability function is blocked while the fault is present.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the internal supply to the angle sensor
- Open circuit in the ground connection to the angle sensor
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the supply and ground connections to the sensor are firmly seated and free from oxide
- 3With a multimeter, check that the ground wire to the sensor has contact with the body (ground)
- 4If the fault returns, have a workshop replace the contact reel with the angle sensor, and the steering wheel module if the code still comes back
- 5The stability function stays blocked while the fault is present, so have a workshop repair it promptly
