What does this fault code mean?
Two processors in the sensor control module communicate with each other, and the communication between them has failed. The fault is set as an internal fault, and the stability function is blocked while it is present.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the control module
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test to see whether it returns
- 2Move the wheel from one end stop to the other, set it straight ahead and read the code again
- 3With diagnostic equipment, read the counters; many incorrect driving cycles point to a recurring fault
- 4If the code returns, have a workshop replace the steering wheel module (SWM)
- 5The stability function stays blocked while the fault is present, so have a workshop repair it promptly
