What does this fault code mean?
This code means the steering angle sensor's configuration does not suit the car. It checks its configuration ID against the signal setup that the central electronic module (CEM) sends on the CAN network, and the code is set when the IDs disagree. The sensor then answers diagnostic commands, but ordinary CAN communication does not work.
Possible causes
- Wrong configuration ID because the unit is not intended for this car, for example a used unit with different software or hardware.
- Incorrect software version.
What you can do
- 1If the angle sensor is used or taken from another car, it is probably not intended for yours.
- 2Check that the fuses are intact. Their location is shown in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover.
- 3Have a workshop read the fault codes, check the configuration and load new software if needed.
- 4The angle sensor is part of the steering and stability system. Have a workshop carry out the check rather than working on the steering wheel yourself.

- A yellow warning symbol and text message show in the display
- The anti-spin and anti-skid warning lamp lights up or behaves abnormally
- The anti-spin function does not work
- The stability function does not work
