What does this fault code mean?
This is an event-controlled code, which means it is information and not a sign of a fault in the control module. The code is set when the integrated radar unit in the rear left outer sensor is blocked, for example by dirt or snow. The system reactivates itself automatically once the blockage is gone.
Possible causes
- Dirt or snow has blocked the control module, which has then identified the blockage.
- The system corrects the fault automatically when the blockage stops.
What you can do
- 1Check that nothing blocks the sensor on the rear left side, and wipe away any dirt, ice or snow from the area.
- 2Drive a short distance. The system restarts its function automatically once the blockage has gone.
- 3If the code remains once the area is clear, have a workshop check the sensor.
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind-spot monitoring (BLIS) is not working
- Rear cross-traffic alert (CTA) is not working
- A yellow warning symbol and text message show in the display
