What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named a fault in the supervision software, it applies when the signal configuration file is missing or wrong. The control modules in the car send and receive information on the CAN network all the time. The cause may be loose connections, contact resistance or oxidation at the connections, or an open circuit in the CAN wiring to the CEM.
Possible causes
- Loose connections, contact resistance or oxidation at the connections.
- Open circuit in the CAN wiring running to the CEM.
What you can do
- 1Check that the connections in the extended CAN network are firmly seated and not corroded.
- 2With a diagnostic tool, read the fault codes in the CEM and see whether more control modules show communication faults.
- 3Have a workshop measure the CAN wiring to the CEM, since this needs measuring equipment.

- Blind-spot monitoring (BLIS) is not working
- Rear cross-traffic alert (CTA) is not working
- A yellow warning symbol and text message show in the display
