What does this fault code mean?
This is an information code and not a sign of a fault in the module where it is active. The code is set when the steering angle sensor (SAS) reports a lower quality level for its information than the left or right side control module accepts.
Possible causes
- The fault may lie in the steering angle sensor (SAS).
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop fault-trace the steering angle sensor (SAS), since the code comes from there. Clear the code only once the cause is fixed.
- 2The angle sensor is part of the steering and stability system. Have a workshop carry out the fault tracing rather than working on the steering wheel yourself.
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind-spot monitoring (BLIS) is not working
- Rear cross-traffic alert (CTA) is not working
- A yellow warning symbol and text message show in the display
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
