What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named invalid data, it applies to a communication problem between the left and right side sensors on the local CAN network. The cause may be loose connections, contact resistance or oxidation at the connections, or an open or short circuit in the bus wiring.
Possible causes
- Loose connections, contact resistance or oxidation at the connections.
- Bus wiring on the local CAN network may be short-circuited against power or earth, or broken.
- Open circuit in the terminals.
What you can do
- 1Check that the connectors between the left and right side sensors are firmly seated and not corroded.
- 2Have a workshop measure the bus wiring for open and short circuits, since this needs measuring equipment.
