What does this fault code mean?
The left side module checks its own settings against the vehicle setup held in the central electronic module (CEM). If it finds that the vehicle configuration from the CEM is incorrect, the code is set. The code is general and does not say what type of fault it is.
Possible causes
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM) giving an incorrect vehicle configuration
- Incorrect software configuration in the vehicle
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes, clear them and road test the car to see whether the code comes back
- 2Have a workshop check the software in the CEM, SODL and SODR and download new software where needed
- 3When the SODL or SODR is replaced, the control module must be calibrated; a workshop does this
- 4If the fault remains after the download, have a workshop fault-trace the CEM
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind spot warning (BLIS) stops working
- Cross traffic alert (CTA) does not work
