The left side obstacle detection control module (SODL) checks its internal components and has found an electrical fault inside the control module. The fault is in the control module itself, and if it remains the remedy is to replace it.
Possible causes
- Damaged left side obstacle detection control module (SODL)
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the fault code, then road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2If the fault remains, a workshop needs to replace the left side obstacle detection control module (SODL)
- 3After replacement, the SODL and SODR must each receive new software simultaneously and be calibrated; a workshop carries this out
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind spot warning (BLIS) stops working
- Cross traffic alert (CTA) does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
