SODL-U300362 - Battery Voltage. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal compare failure
System
Side Obstacle Detection Left (SODL)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
6 modelsS60 (2011–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), XC60 (2009–)
What does this fault code mean?
The left blind spot module (SODL) compares its own supply voltage with the system voltage broadcast by the central electronic module and has found a difference. The code only needs troubleshooting if it is active now, has been active for a long time and the function really does not work – otherwise it can simply be cleared.
Possible causes
- Poor contact, corrosion or a bad ground in the module connections
- Open circuit or short in the supply wiring
- Weak or damaged battery
- Fault in the alternator charging
What you can do
- 1If no function is affected, clear the code and check that it does not return
- 2Check the battery condition and that the alternator is charging
- 3Check the module connector and ground point for corrosion and poor contact
- 4If it persists with a loss of function, have a workshop diagnose the supply and ground
Symptoms you may notice3
- The blind spot warning (BLIS) does not work
- Cross traffic alert when reversing does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
