Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
6 modelsS60 (2011–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), XC60 (2009–)
What does this fault code mean?
This is an information code showing that the driver-side LED, fitted to the front panel on the inside of the windscreen, is not working as it should. It does not indicate a fault in the right side obstacle detection control module (SODR) where it is shown. The fault lies in another control module, and the code can only be cleared once that fault is fixed.
Possible causes
- Failure of the driver-side LED
- Fault in the driver's door module (DDM), which should be fault-traced first
What you can do
- 1Check that the driver-side LED lights and works as it should
- 2Have a workshop fault-trace the driver's door module (DDM), since this code is a follow-on code from a fault there
- 3Clear the code only after the root fault has been fixed and its code has been cleared
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind spot warning (BLIS) stops working
- Cross traffic alert (CTA) does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
