What does this fault code mean?
The right side obstacle detection control module (SODR) is in continuous contact with DDM (the driver's door module). The code is set when that communication is disturbed or missing. The code is general and does not say what type of fault it is.
Possible causes
- Fault in the control module that should send the information (the sending control module)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact; their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Check that the DDM has a power feed and ground connection and that its connectors are firmly seated
- 3Read the fault codes in the central electronic module (CEM) to see whether it holds codes for missing communication with other control modules
- 4Have a workshop fault-trace the CAN communication between the DDM and the CEM
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind spot warning (BLIS) stops working
- Cross traffic alert (CTA) does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
