What does this fault code mean?
SODR gets details of the car's present setup from the central electronic module (CEM). The code is set when that information is missing, which points first at the connections to the CEM.
Possible causes
- Poor contact, contact resistance or oxidation in the connections between the SODR and the CEM
- Fault in the central electronic module (CEM)
What you can do
- 1Check that the connections between the SODR and the CEM are secure and not oxidised
- 2Read the fault codes in the CEM and sort out any faults there first
- 3If the fault remains after the connection check, have a workshop fault-trace the CEM
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind spot warning (BLIS) stops working
- Cross traffic alert (CTA) does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
