What does this fault code mean?
The SODR has not been calibrated correctly, or has never been calibrated. Calibration is needed before the LCMA (lane change merge aid) and CTA functions can work, and the code is set when the control module finds that the calibration was not carried out correctly.
Possible causes
- Failed calibration
- The SODR has never been calibrated
What you can do
- 1A workshop needs to calibrate the SODR; the calibration is done with diagnostic equipment and is not something you can do yourself
- 2Keep the area at the rear bumper clean and free of dirt, ice and water while the calibration is carried out
- 3Road test the car after calibration and check that no BLIS or CTA service warning appears in the instrument display
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind spot warning (BLIS) stops working
- Cross traffic alert (CTA) does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
