What does this fault code mean?
After an internal check of its components, the SODR has found a fault in its program memory, where the control module's program is stored. The fault sits in the control module, and the remedy is to replace it if the fault remains.
Possible causes
- Damaged right side obstacle detection control module (SODR)
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and road test the car; if it comes back the control module is probably damaged
- 2Have a workshop replace the SODR if the fault remains
- 3After replacement the SODR must be calibrated, which a workshop does
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind spot warning (BLIS) stops working
- Cross traffic alert (CTA) does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
