SODR-U300362
VOLVO
SODR-U300362 - Battery Voltage. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal compare failure
System
Side Obstacle Detection Right (SODR)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
6 modelsS60 (2011–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), XC60 (2009–)
What does this fault code mean?
The code compares the SODR's own system voltage with the value that the central electronic module (CEM) sends over the CAN. It only matters if it stays active for a longer period in the same drive and the car also shows malfunctions that can be linked to it. In other cases the code does not indicate a fault and can be erased.
Possible causes
- Poor contact, contact resistance or oxidation at the connections
- Open circuit or short circuit in the wiring
- Damaged generator
- Damaged battery
What you can do
- 1Measure the battery voltage with a multimeter and check that the terminals are tight and free of oxidation
- 2Check that the battery charges while the engine runs; if it does not, have a workshop check the generator
- 3Check that the power supply and ground point to the SODL and SODR are secure and free of oxidation
- 4Clear the fault code and road test the car; if it returns and the functions stay lost, have a workshop fault-trace further
Symptoms you may notice3
- Blind spot warning (BLIS) stops working
- Cross traffic alert (CTA) does not work
- Yellow warning symbol and message in the display
