What does this fault code mean?
The SRS control module has found an airbag or a seat belt tensioner installed in the car, even though the module is programmed so that neither should be fitted. The fault is intermittent: the control module registered it at an earlier point, but it is not present right now.
Possible causes
- Fitted hardware, an airbag or belt tensioner, while the control module is programmed for neither to be there
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2If the code returns: have a workshop check which airbags and seat belt tensioners are fitted and whether the control module is programmed correctly
- 3Do not work on the airbag system yourself; all work on the control module and wiring is done by a workshop
Symptoms you may notice1
- The SRS warning lamp is lit
