What does this fault code mean?
The SRS control module has identified that the driver's lap belt tensioner is installed, but the module is programmed so that it should not be fitted in the car. The fault therefore comes from the module's setting not matching what is fitted in the car.
Possible causes
- The driver's lap belt tensioner is fitted, while the control module is set so that it should not be present
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code before changing anything
- 2Check that the correct SRS control module is fitted in the car, and whether the control module has recently been replaced
- 3If the fault remains: have a workshop decide whether the control module needs replacing or reprogramming
- 4Do not work on the airbag system yourself; the control module, seat belt tensioner and connectors are handled by a workshop
