What does this fault code mean?
The SRS control module has found an airbag or a seat belt tensioner fitted in the car, although the module is set up so that neither should be present. The fault is intermittent: the module registered it at an earlier point, but it is not present right now.
Possible causes
- An airbag or seat belt tensioner is fitted, but the control module has been configured so that neither should be in the car
What you can do
- 1Read and note the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it returns
- 2If the code returns: have a workshop check that the correct airbags and seat belt tensioners are fitted and that the control module is configured correctly
- 3Do not work on the airbag system yourself; the control module and wiring are handled by a workshop
Symptoms you may notice1
- The SRS warning lamp is lit
