What does this fault code mean?
The fault code is intermittent, meaning it comes and goes. It concerns the front right side airbag, where the resistance in the circuit is too high for a longer period. The fault is a break in the igniter cable or connectors to the SRS module, or a break in the airbag itself.
Possible causes
- Break in the igniter cable or connectors between the front right side airbag and the SRS module
- Open circuit in the front right side airbag, giving too high resistance in the igniter
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop look over the connectors at the SRS module and at the front right side airbag, including contact resistance
- 3Airbag system work is not for home mechanics; have a workshop do the check and any repairs
