What does this fault code mean?
The fault code is intermittent, meaning it comes and goes. It concerns the front right side airbag, where the resistance in the circuit is too low for a longer period. The fault is a short in the igniter cable or connectors to the SRS module, or a short inside the side airbag itself.
Possible causes
- Short-circuit in the igniter cable or connectors between the front right side airbag and the SRS module
- Short-circuit inside the front right side airbag, giving too low resistance in the igniter
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check that the connectors at the SRS module and at the front right side airbag are not shorting
- 3Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the check and any repairs
