What does this fault code mean?
The SRS module monitors the signal from the front right side airbag. If the cable voltage stays too high for a longer period, the fault code is stored. The fault is a short-circuit to the power supply, either in the cable itself or in the connectors running to the SRS module.
Possible causes
- Short-circuit to the power supply in the cable or connectors between the SRS module and the front right side airbag
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop look for a short to the power supply in the cable and connector to the front right side airbag
- 3If the code becomes intermittent, the front right side airbag may need replacing, which the workshop can do
- 4Leave work on the airbag system to a workshop; the check and any repairs are not for the owner to do
Symptoms you may notice2
- SRS warning lamp lit
- An SRS warning message is shown in the display
