What does this fault code mean?
The fault code is intermittent, meaning it comes and goes. It concerns the right inflatable curtain, where the signal is too low. The fault is a short to ground in the cable or connectors between the curtain and the SRS module, or in the curtain itself.
Possible causes
- Short-circuit to ground in the igniter cable or connectors between the right curtain and the SRS module
- Short-circuit to ground in the right inflatable curtain
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check whether the connectors to the right curtain and the SRS module show contact resistance or oxidation
- 3Do not work on the airbag system yourself; have a workshop carry out the check and any repairs
