What does this fault code mean?
The fault code is intermittent, meaning it comes and goes. It concerns the right inflatable curtain, where the capacitance in the circuit is too low for a longer period. The cause lies in the capacitor built into the igniter connector, which either has too low capacitance or an open circuit.
Possible causes
- Capacitance too low in the built-in capacitor in the igniter connector
- Open circuit in the built-in capacitor in the igniter connector
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check the connectors at the SRS module and the right curtain for contact resistance and oxidation, and whether any connector terminals are damaged or pressed back
- 3Have a workshop test the capacitor in the connector with an ohmmeter
- 4Leave work on the airbag system to a workshop; the check and any repairs are not for the owner to do
