What does this fault code mean?
The fault code is intermittent, meaning it comes and goes. It concerns the right inflatable curtain, where the resistance in the circuit is too high for a longer period. The fault is a break in the igniter cable or connectors on the way from the curtain to the SRS module, or a break in the curtain itself.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the igniter cable or connectors between the right curtain and the SRS module
- Open circuit in the right inflatable curtain, giving too high resistance in the igniter
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop check whether the connector terminals are pressed back or damaged, and check contact resistance and oxidation at the SRS module and the right curtain
- 3Have a workshop handle both the check and any repairs, as this is airbag system work
