What does this fault code mean?
The fault code is intermittent, meaning it comes and goes. It concerns the right inflatable curtain, where the resistance in the circuit is too low for a longer period. The fault is a short in the cable or connectors to the SRS module, or a short inside the curtain itself.
Possible causes
- Short-circuit in the igniter cable or connectors between the right curtain and the SRS module
- Short-circuit inside the right inflatable curtain, giving too low resistance in the igniter
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and road test the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Have a workshop look for a short in the connectors at the SRS module and at the right curtain, and for damaged connections
- 3Airbag system work is not for home mechanics; have a workshop do the check and any repairs
