What does this fault code mean?
The SRS module has detected a passenger adaptive belt force limiter in the car, yet its programming states that no such limiter should be present. The programming and the fitted component therefore do not match.
Possible causes
- The module detects a passenger adaptive belt force limiter fitted, although its programming says none should be present
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, and test drive to see if it returns
- 2Tell the workshop if anything in the restraint system has recently been replaced, so the correct configuration can be checked
- 3Have a workshop check that the correct control module and belt force limiter are fitted, and replace the control module if no other fault is found
- 4The airbag system should only be corrected by a workshop; do not make any changes to it yourself
Symptoms you may notice2
- The general warning lamp lights
- An SRS warning message is shown
