What does this fault code mean?
The SRS module has found a front right side impact airbag fitted in the car, but the module is programmed so that it should not be present. There is a mismatch between the programming and the equipment that is fitted.
Possible causes
- The module identifies a front right side impact airbag fitted, though it is programmed for that airbag not to be installed
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, and test drive to see if it returns
- 2Have a workshop confirm that the correct restraint control module is installed in the car
- 3The control module is only replaced if the workshop finds no other fault
- 4Connectors and wiring at the side airbag belong in a workshop; do not carry out any work on them yourself
