What does this fault code mean?
This fault is intermittent, meaning it comes and goes. The SRS module has identified a seat belt tensioner fitted in the car, although it is programmed so that no such tensioner should be present. The module has registered the fault before, but it is not present at the moment.
Possible causes
- A seat belt tensioner is fitted, although the module is programmed for none to be installed
What you can do
- 1Read out and note the fault code, clear it, and test drive to see if it returns
- 2Have a workshop check which belt tensioners are fitted in the car and whether the programming is correct
- 3The workshop may need to replace the control module if no other fault is found
- 4Work on the restraint system belongs to the workshop; do not do it yourself
